Carol Nogueira has sustained a rectus femoris injury and is expected to be available again in three to four weeks, according to Meu Timao.

The forward was injured during Corinthians’ 4-0 win over América-MG. Starting out of position at right-back, she was withdrawn after 21 minutes, leaving the pitch in tears. She was later seen being carried by two team-mates as she departed the stadium.

There were initial fears of a more serious problem, but scans confirmed the rectus femoris issue. Nogueira had not featured for Corinthians since August 2025 due to personal reasons. She returned to availability without being used by then coach Lucas Piccinato, before Emily Lima handed her a first chance at right-back.

Without Nogueira, Corinthians continue preparations for the seventh round of the Brasileirão Feminino. The Brabas face Red Bull Bragantino at the Fazendinha on Friday at 21:00 as they seek momentum and to close on the leaders.

Centre-back Thaís Regina remains weeks away after fracturing the fibula in her left ankle in January and undergoing surgery. She has not started the transition phase, focusing on indoor strength work at the training centre. On Tuesday she began straight-line runs on the grass, but has not been cleared for ball work, with an internal hope of a May return if there are no setbacks.
