Carolina Correia has been officially unveiled by Fiorentina, signing a contract through to 2029. The Portugal defender, 24, steps outside her home country for the first time.
According to Glorioso 1904, she had already joined pre-season training with the Italian club, with the transfer now confirmed.
Correia began at Casa Pia, then completed her development at Benfica, progressing through the youth teams before moving into the senior set-up.
She spent 2020/21 on loan at Damaiense, then returned to Benfica, representing the club until 2022/23. A subsequent loan to Torreense proved decisive, and the club made the move permanent following strong performances.
Across three seasons with Torreense she made 84 appearances, scoring once and providing one assist, form that piqued Fiorentina’s interest. She previously played 23 times for Benfica and scored two goals. The Portugal international now starts a new chapter with the Viola.
