Carrasco wants only Roma.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations are at an advanced stage, and the Giallorossi have already given the green light to make the decisive move, with the support of the player’s agents, who are pushing for the transfer.

Carrasco has already made his decision and intends to use this opportunity to relaunch his career ahead of the World Cup.

The Belgian is playing a key role in the difficult negotiations with Al Shabab, who are unwilling to lose the player at a crucial point in the season as they battle to avoid relegation from the Saudi Pro League.

However, Carrasco is determined to move to the club and, to facilitate the deal, is willing to significantly reduce his salary, which currently stands at around €7 million for the remainder of the season.

This is a sustainable amount for Roma, especially since the option the Giallorossi are pursuing is a loan with an option to buy.

Roma sporting director Ricky Massara appears ready to close the deal this weekend, likely after waiting until the Europa League match against Panathinaikos. The Giallorossi are confident they can bring Carrasco to the capital.
