Manchester United midfielder Casemiro will be at the club next season despite rumours claiming he would leave amid Saudi Pro League interest.

According to the Mirror, ‘Big-earning Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is set to stay at Man United next season after being offered a World Cup lifeline by Carlo Ancelotti.’

Casemiro is reportedly earning around £350,000 a week at Man United.

With the club looking to trim their ballooning wage bill, he was a candidate to exit Old Trafford alongside Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Marcus Rashford.

However, the report claims he will stay.

Casemiro wants a place in Ancelotti’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, and staying at Man United in the Premier League gives him the best shot at a call for the showpiece.

After underwhelming showings this season, the 33-year-old looked set to leave the Theatre of Dreams but fought his way back into the team under Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils might recruit a new central midfielder this summer as they bid to add some athleticism to the middle of the park.

Nevertheless, Casemiro will still bring his experience and leadership to the dressing room.

Even with Casemiro staying, the Red Devils need a younger holding midfielder to succeed the former Real Madrid star.

One player the club should consider is Chelsea’s Andrey Santos.

Reports claim Chelsea and Manchester United are considering a swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku and Alejandro Garnacho.

Man United should try to get the Blues talking over Santos.

Santos has struggled to get a look in at Chelsea in the Club World Cup and might be looking for a new stomping ground where he can play consistently.

United need to pounce on the stellar 21-year-old.

With Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez ahead of him in the pecking order, Man United can take advantage to swoop for his signature.

Santos enjoyed a sensational loan with Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg.

He registered 10 goals and nine big chances created while winning 61% of his aerial and 68% of his ground duels in 32 Ligue 1 outings.

Santos will be a sensational addition to the Man United engine room, and the club should test the waters.
