Vasco fans mounted a mass social media push on Monday for the signing of Richarlison, who has been losing minutes at Tottenham. According to PaponaColina, the #RicharlisonNoVasco campaign swelled among supporters keen to repatriate the 29-year-old, a self-confessed fan since childhood.
The surge intensified after influencer Casimiro Miguel delivered an emotional appeal on CazéTV, staring into the camera and urging the striker to return to Brazil. He said Richarlison needed the club as much as the club needed him, to rediscover joy and target a Brazil recall.
Casimiro argued that an immediate move to São Januário could quickly put him back on the national team radar if he starts scoring.
He also criticised Tottenham, calling on the club to release the forward and alleging they had not registered him for the competition. He joked he would call Luisa Mell if they kept mistreating him.
His comments added fuel to the debate, with thousands of Vasco fans posting messages of support on the player’s accounts and urging him to lead their attack.
Even so, Vasco’s board remain cautious, aware any approach to English football would require a complex financial and contractual operation.
