It follows their superb contributions to City’s unbeaten month which edged the Blues closer to the 2025/26 title.

By collecting seven points from our three league assignments in March, Andrée Jeglertz’s side need just five more from our final three matches to be crowned this term’s WSL champions.

After Casparij helped City to a clean sheet in our 0-0 draw with Aston Villa, she then played the full 90 minutes of our 5-2 victory over Spurs which immediately extinguished the disappointment of not beating the Villans.

Shaw played a starring role in the victory over the north Londoners by bagging both the quickest and earliest hat-trick in WSL history.

The Jamaican opened the scoring when slamming home from a corner and restored our lead when directing a header into the net after Spurs had equalised.

Shaw’s then completed her treble inside the 21st minute with 12 minutes and 37 seconds separating her first and third strike.

And both the forward and Casparij started in our final outing in March as City put cross-city rivals Manchester United to the sword, 3-0, at Old Trafford.

After Vivianne Miedema had given the Blues the lead, the Dutch defender crossed for her Netherlands team-mate to double hers and our tally against Marc Skinner’s side.

Then, following the interval, Casparij ran the length of the field to reach Lauren Hemp’s lofted ball to the back post and tuck into the net to round off a fantastic afternoon.

Bunny and Casparij are joined on the shortlist by Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson and Lynn Wilms, Arsenal’s Alessia Russo and Lotte Wubben-Moy and Liverpool’s Ceri Holland.
