MP-SP prosecutor Cássio Roberto Conserino is due at Parque São Jorge on Thursday to receive documents in the investigation into alleged misuse of Corinthians corporate cards by former presidents.

Blog do Macedo reports that the prosecutor’s office asked the club to stage a meeting at the venue to review papers listed in a formal request. The session is due on 12 March at a time to be agreed.

The club is treated as a victim in the case and has signalled cooperation. In recent days, São Paulo’s courts made Duilio Monteiro Alves and former finance chief Roberto Gavioli defendants for alleged embezzlement linked to personal use of the card between 2021 and 2023.

In 2025, Andrés Sanchez and Gavioli were charged for possible money laundering and tax offences tied to Sanchez’s 2018-2020 tenure.

Some documents previously sent were deemed incomplete, so permission was sought for an MP representative to access materials on site. The paperwork also notes Corinthians could seek compensation if there are convictions.

The club has opened internal inquiries, and given its stance and compliance policy, more forceful steps such as search and seizure are not considered necessary for now.

Separately, the Ethics Commission has set a virtual hearing with Andrés for next Monday, when he can present a defence and receipts for spending estimated at more than R$ 180,000. Any sanction will be decided by the Deliberative Council, while the Justice Commission continues to assess the Duilio case before shifting focus to Augusto Melo’s administration.
