CD Castellón stepped up their winter business last week, with Tuesday bringing three confirmed deals. Similar activity is expected in the final stretch, with Adnane’s situation among the key calls before the 23.59 deadline on Monday 2 February.
El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that Castellón have offloaded three players, Óscar Gil, Kenneth Mamah and Nick Markanich, and added two, Raúl Sánchez and Álvaro García. Two senior squad slots remain open, regardless of any B-team registration, and a loan exit for Serpeta is under consideration.
Both first-team recruits featured in Sunday’s Zaragoza-Castellón. Sánchez started on the right ahead of Mellot, later switching to the left with Pablo Hernández’s late changes. García partnered Camara after coming on and almost marked his debut with a goal from a curling Suero cross.
The next arrival could be Adnane Ghailan Benktib, a two-footed winger aged 25 with Moroccan and Spanish nationality. Raised in Rocafonda, the neighbourhood associated with Lamine Yamal, he has shone for CE Europa in Gràcia this season. In Barcelona it is taken for granted that Castellón will pay his release clause, and he is nicknamed the tailor for unpicking defenders.
Castellón have also added defender Ismael Fadel with a B registration, developed at Real Zaragoza and signed from Yeclano, and he has already debuted for the reserves. From Alcoy, the expectation is that young striker Rubén Catalá will join from Alcoyano to bolster the Segunda Federación side.
