Castellón left Las Palmas with a draw, Matthys beaten only from the spot and Brignani finding the net.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Camara and Gerenabarrena imposed themselves before the break, and Horkas denied Camara a goal.

Mellot maintained his reliability, while Alberto ended bruised and was replaced because of bleeding. Sienra misjudged in the penalty incident, and his second booking looked excessive, leaving Castellón to toil a man down.

Lucas Alcázar impressed on the left until a heavy collision with Alberto. Cala fashioned chances and covered ground across the pitch while the side were a player short. Mabil had flashes, Ronaldo Pompeu played well until his legs went, then made way.

Cipenga was erratic but his wing burst made Brignani’s goal. Matthys, Mellot, Alberto, Lucas Alcázar, Gerenabarrena, Ronaldo Pompeu, Cipenga, Cala and Camara were marked at seven, with Sienra and Mabil on six.

From the bench, Raúl Sánchez and Jakobsen were given six, Suero and Brignani seven, and Álvaro six. Raúl Sánchez struggled before dropping to left-back, Suero cracked a fierce effort from the edge, Jakobsen tightened up as a late pivot, Álvaro fought up front, and Brignani won the ball, spread play, joined and finished.

Camara collected a fifth booking and will not face Racing.
