Castellón beat Eibar 2-1 in a memorable night, Cala led the way and Suero delivered the decisive goal.
Cala made it 1-0, Eibar levelled after a Jakobsen clearance error, then Cala set up Suero for 2-1. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Cala was rated 9.
Matthys received 6 after nearly gifting a goal, but he denied Hugo late on. Pablo Santiago earned 8 for covering full-back and wing-back duties, pushing forward and almost scoring. Alberto took 8, leading a bold back line, and he is chasing a second promotion after arriving in Primera RFEF.
Brignani got 7, coping despite some open-field struggles and Bautista’s late movement. Sienra took 7 on the left before Lucas A., rated 7, came on to defend the box well late. Barri received 7 for intelligent inside work, reliable though tiring late.
Gerenabarrena scored 8, winning the crowd with attitude, work-rate and generosity. Camara was a 7, relentless in the hunt for a goal. Jakobsen’s 7 reflected quality in attack and a fine save thwarting his strike, set against the error that preceded the 1-1.
From the bench, Suero earned 8 as a lethal option. Raúl Sánchez took 6, he went close and, in the piece’s view, should be a pick for the play-off. Doué earned 6, providing fresh legs.
