AC Milan have made the decision to sell Theo Hernandez in the summer transfer window, a report claims, and England could be his destination.

According to CaughtOffside, Milan ‘have decided to offload’ Theo during the summer, with Manchester City monitoring the situation closely as well as his former club Real Madrid, who he joined from back in 2019.

The Rossoneri could do with a big sale ‘to generate funds for the transfer window’ given that  Champions League qualification is now out of reach. In addition to that, renewal talks with Theo have ‘completely stalled’ and Geoffrey Moncada spoke of a desire not to let anyone leave for free.

Milan did make an offer to extend his deal and yet the Frenchman declined it. Now, his poor performances, combined with having just one year left on his contract in June, make a sale ‘the best option for all parties’.

It is believed that Theo ‘would prefer a return to Spain, with Real Madrid as his ideal destination’. Los Blancos ‘have already approached the player and further contacts are expected in the coming weeks’ too, but Manchester City are keen on exploring a €35-40m deal.

This lower price has also attracted the attention of other Premier clubs, such as Everton. Milan can no longer demand the €50m they wanted, though it seems that Theo has plenty of suitors.
