Cauley Woodrow has taken to Instagram to share a message with Luton Town’s supporters following their showdown with Norwich City in the Championship.

The forward scored what turned out to be the winning goal for the Hatters in the closing stages of this particular fixture.

Luton went close to taking the lead in the first-half as Elijah Adebayo failed to direct Carlton Morris’ header on target.

James Bree was then denied by Norwich goalkeeper Angus Gunn who produced a good stop to prevent his free-kick from finding the back of the net.

Following the break, Adam Campbell capitalised on an error by Dimitris Giannoulis as he slotted home from just outside of the area.

Teemu Pukki then levelled proceedings for Norwich before Hatters defender Gabriel Osho was shown a second yellow card for a foul on the Finland international.

Despite playing the closing stages of this clash with ten men, Luton secured all three points via a fantastic strike from Woodrow.

Luton, who are currently 13th in the Championship standings, will be aiming to back up this victory by securing a positive result in their showdown with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow.

The Verdict

Luton will be hoping that the floodgates will start to open for Woodrow in terms of goals after the forward managed to find the back of the net for the first time since sealing a return to Kenilworth Road earlier this year.

Having missed a chunk of action due to a calf injury, the forward’s aim for the club’s upcoming fixtures will be to play as many as minutes as possible.

If Woodrow is able to deliver the goods on a consistent basis between now and the end of the campaign, he could help the Hatters reach the play-offs for the second consecutive season.

Luton are only two points adrift of the top-six in the league standings and will move above QPR if they defeat Neil Critchley’s side tomorrow.
