CBF boosts Supercopa Rei Superbet 2026 prize to record high

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced an increase in the prize money for the 2026 Supercopa Rei Superbet, the tournament that officially kicks off the national football calendar. Each participating team will receive R$ 6.35 million, a higher amount than what was awarded in the previous edition of the competition.

The adjustment represents an increase of R$ 300,000 compared to the amount given to the clubs that competed in the 2025 Supercopa. In addition to the fixed amount, the winner of the match will also be awarded US$ 1 million, transferred by Conmebol to the CBF.

The match will take place this Sunday (01), at 4:00 PM (Brasília time), at the Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, the venue chosen to host the clash between Flamengo and Corinthians. Flamengo secured their spot by winning the 2025 Brazilian Championship, while Timão reached the final after lifting the Copa do Brasil trophy last season.

With expectations of a full house, the stadium, which holds more than 70,000 fans, will have an equal division of supporters from both teams. Before the match begins, the audience will enjoy a musical performance by Pernambuco singer João Gomes, who is confirmed as the opening ceremony attraction.
