CBF reveals first three Brasileirão U20 rounds for Corinthians

Throughout last Thursday (12), the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released the details for the first three rounds of the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Under-20. With this, Corinthians learned the dates and times of their first three commitments in the national competition. Timãozinho's best campaign in the tournament was in 2015, when they won the title.

William Batista’s squad will make their debut on February 21, Saturday, at 3:00 PM (Brasília time), in a match against América-MG, at Estádio Alfredo Schürig, Fazendinha, located in Parque São Jorge. Five days later, on Thursday, Timãozinho will travel to CT Evaristo de Macedo to face Bahia, at 3:00 PM, for the second round of the national tournament.

Then, on March 2, Monday, at 8:00 PM, the Alvinegro will visit Grêmio, in Rio Grande do Sul, at Estádio Airton Ferreira da Silva. The match will be broadcast on SporTV (Grupo Globo’s pay TV channel). Compared to the 2024 and 2025 editions, the main novelty in the 2026 Brasileirão Under-20 is the implementation of two-legged matches in the quarterfinals and semifinals – the top eight advance to the knockout stage.

The bottom three teams are relegated to the Série B of the category. Additionally, the tournament winner secures a spot in the Supercopa do Brasil of the category, facing the champion of the Copa do Brasil Under-20. Corinthians is aiming to reach the knockout stage for the first time since 2023, when they were eliminated by Palmeiras in the semifinals. In the last two years, the team fought against relegation and was far from qualifying among the top teams.
