CBF sets date and time for Copa do Brasil quarter-final draw | OneFootball

The CBF said it will stage the Copa do Brasil quarter-final draw, including home-leg order, at 11:00 on Tuesday 11 August at its Rio de Janeiro headquarters.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for the weeks of 26 August and 3 September.

Corinthians face an uphill task after a 2-0 first-leg defeat to Internacional on Sunday in the last 16. With no away-goals rule, any two-goal home win would force penalties, a bigger margin secures progression. The return is on Thursday at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena.

So far only Atlético-MG and Santos are through. Atlético-MG beat Juventude and Santos eliminated Remo, both ties were completed on Tuesday and ended 1-0 on aggregate.

Other second legs are due on Wednesday and Thursday. Cruzeiro, Grêmio and Fluminense drew the first legs and now host Chapecoense, Mirassol and Vasco da Gama. Palmeiras visit Fortaleza after a 4-0 home win, while Athletico-PR lead Vitória 2-0.

Corinthians have confirmed several absences for Thursday. Forwards Vitinho and Kayke are long-term casualties and out for the 2026 season. Zakaria Labyad ruptured his ACL against Athletico-PR and will also miss the rest of the year.

Yuri Alberto is recovering from a hamstring injury. Memphis Depay returned to Brazil on Tuesday after his holidays, he is not yet match fit and is considered unlikely to feature.
