The Brazilian Football Confederation announced on Thursday that the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals will use semi-automated offside and confirmed that all host stadiums are already equipped.

The technology made its Brazilian debut on 25 July in the 20th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, where it was triggered five times and delivered an average check of 47 seconds.

Six clubs are already through to the last eight, Vasco, Grêmio, Atlético-MG, Santos, Cruzeiro and Palmeiras.

The final two places will be settled on Thursday night in Vitória v Athletico-PR and Corinthians v Internacional.

The draw to set the quarter-final ties and the bracket through to the final will take place next Tuesday, the 11th, at 11:00 Brasília time at CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
