CBF president Samir Xaud says the venue for the 2026 Copa do Brasil one-off final, set for 6 December, remains undecided and no date has been set for an announcement.
According to g1, the Federal District government wrote to CBF in August to offer Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília as a potential host, citing suitable structural, logistical and institutional conditions.
Xaud outlined the position at a news conference during the opening of the Mato Grosso do Sul Football Development Centre in Campo Grande, part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup legacy, adding that the choice would be settled in due course.
The showpiece will close the domestic calendar. Palmeiras meet Vasco in one semi-final, while Atlético-MG await Grêmio or Internacional. The semi-finals are slated for the first two weeks of November.
CBF adopted the single-match final late last year. In 38 editions, this will be the first time the competition is decided in one game.
Mané Garrincha has already staged four Supercopa do Brasil finals since 2020, with Flamengo lifting the trophy in 2020 and 2021, Palmeiras in 2023, and Corinthians in 2026.
Other recent Supercopa venues were Arena Pantanal in 2022, Mineirão in 2024 and Mangueirão in 2025.
