CD Castellón have reached an agreement to sign Italian defender Federico Ceccherini on a contract until 30 June 2027.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, he arrives on a free from US Cremonese in Serie A. He was born on 11 May 1992 in Livorno, Italy.

Ceccherini came through Livorno’s academy and made his Serie A debut for the first team in 2013.

He later had spells with Crotone, Fiorentina and Hellas Verona, where he established himself in defence.

His next move took him to US Cremonese, with whom he earned promotion to the Italian top flight. Across his career he has made more than 225 Serie A appearances.
