CD Castellón ‘interested’ in Carlos Martín as deadline day unfolds | OneFootball

CD Castellón, joint top of Segunda after their win at Balaídos, enter deadline day with multiple deals in play.

El Periódico Mediterráneo notes that Castellón are among the clubs interested in Atlético Madrid forward Carlos Martín, 24, a former under-21 international who spent last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

There are early rumours in Colombia that Brighton’s newly signed midfielder Matías Orozco could join Castellón.

After José Albert’s loan to Zamora, Castellón have one registration slot available, with Antonio Gala and Rodrigo Rego holding B team numbers.

Israel Suero did not feature and is another candidate to depart. Marco Doué and Tincho were left out of the squad last night, Doué travelled to Vigo but was not in kit, and both could leave in the coming hours.

Elsewhere, two former Castellón players have found new clubs. Goalkeeper Amir has joined Ponferradina and winger Jeremy de León has signed for Sant Andreu, both in Primera RFEF.
