After six without a win having reached the summit, Pablo Hernández's side have steadied themselves with back-to-back victories and renewed belief. El Periódico Mediterráneo highlights the blend of squad depth and a revived bond with SkyFi Castalia as central to the turnaround.
Those wins came at home against Almería, then Granada. Castellón sit in the play-off places, four points off automatic promotion with eight games remaining.
Among the standouts, Pablo Santiago typified the edge, forcing a mistake from goalkeeper Andrés to make it 2-0 against Almería. He followed up on Monday with another influential display versus Granada, involved in two of Castellón's three goals.
Pablo Hernández has also turned to Tincho Conde, who coped at left-back. Ronaldo Pompeu contributed against Almería with a goal, while Adam Jakobsen has looked at home on the wing on his opposite side, producing probably his best minutes for the club.
The connection with the stands has underpinned this response, ambition and excitement tempered by a lack of undue pressure. That balance has helped the team through a tricky spell and into the final stretch with renewed calm.
