CD Castellón have unveiled their 2026/27 home kit, featuring a central white stripe. The club continue with Italian manufacturer Erreà, and the shirt carries a new main sponsor, DoYouSpain. The launch took place on one July 2026.
The design has stirred debate among supporters, some linking it to particular eras. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the white centre band is a long-standing part of the club’s visual identity.
While many perceive a black central stripe as the historical norm, Castellón have alternated both layouts across more than 100 years. The club’s first black-and-white striped shirt in 1925, in fact, used a white central stripe.
From the 1940s onward, and especially since the 1980s, the central position has been occupied by white or black at different times. Both have become familiar variants for the club.
Notably, shirts with a central white stripe accompanied two promotions to the Primera División, in 1941 and 1981.
Historical photographs show generations of Castellón players wearing a white band down the middle.
This is not a rupture with tradition. It reads as a refreshed take on a historic variant that has followed the club since its origins.
