CD Onda angered by timing of La Nostra Copa final | OneFootball

CD Onda will face Tavernes de la Valldigna in the final of the V La Nostra Copa at the Estadi Nou Pla de La Vila Joiosa on the 30th, with kick-off initially set for 20:00. The Castellón club are unhappy with the scheduling, citing the working-day slot and the long trip.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the decision by the FFCV has not been well received at Onda, particularly given both finalists are non-professional and have limited resources.

Onda believe the federation should have consulted both clubs before fixing the date, time and venue. For the Plana Baixa side, the journey to La Vila Joiosa is well over two hours, hampering team logistics.

A key grievance is the impact on their supporters, as a working-day staging means very few will be able to travel to the Alicante town.

The club plan to submit a written request to the FFCV for an equidistant venue and a date that would turn the game into a genuine celebration of regional football, encouraging greater attendance.
