RC Celta have confirmed the signing of Altay Bayindir, the Türkiye international arriving on loan from Manchester United with an option to buy. The club said in a statement that he is their latest addition under Claudio Giráldez, and highlighted his assured shot-stopping, size and dominance in the air as qualities they hope will raise the squad’s competitive level.

Bayindir, 28, came through at Bursaspor and Ankaragücü before establishing himself at Fenerbahçe. He spent four seasons there and captained the side.

He will link up immediately with Celta’s camp in Italy to play pre-season friendlies against Sassuolo and Napoli.
