La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have this week been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that defender Jailson has suffered a setback in his efforts to recover full fitness.
Jailson, for his part, played a prominent role for Celta over the early weeks of the new campaign, featuring from the off in five of the club’s opening six La Liga fixtures.
The Brazilian, however, has since not taken to the pitch since all the way back on September 22nd. This comes owing to a muscle tear in his right thigh.
This past weekend, Jailson was at last afforded the medical green light to return to training, a timely boost for Claudio Giráldez and his staff.
As alluded to above, though, just five days on, the 29-year-old has suffered a setback.
As per a report from Marca, whilst training on Thursday, Jailson picked up another muscular issue, on this occasion in his left thigh.
The extent of the injury remains unknown, but it is concluded that ‘what seems clear is that he will not be able to play in Leganés this Sunday’.
