Celtic are ‘also in the race’ for in-demand versatile midfielder Cheick Souare, who is attracting interest from Spain and Italy.
The Scottish giants have made another strong start to the league season, as they have scored nine goals in their first two games.
The Bhoys have backed Martin O’Neill this summer, as the frontline has seen major additions already, with the club sending out a major statement in the process.
The likes of Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran have already made a big impact at Celtic; new boy Haissem Hassan also made his debut against Dundee United.
However, they have lost their star midfielder Arne Engels to Championship big boys West Ham United, with the Belgian excited for the ‘project’ at the London club.

Versatile Chelsea defender Landon Emenalo is on the Scottish giants’ radar this summer and he is closing in on a move to Celtic.
They are currently looking to add more squad depth in the remaining two weeks of the summer window, with their eyes set on the Czech top flight.
According to Italian journalist Lorenzo Lepore, the Scottish Premiership giants are in the race for Viktoria Plzen’s Souare.
Italian duo Genoa and Monza are monitoring his situation and Spanish side Getafe have an offer rejected by the Czech side for the 23-year-old.

It has been suggested that the Azulones put in an offer of €2.5m for him, but Plzen are looking to pocket around €3.5m to €4m for him.
The former France Under-16 international spent seven years at Marseille and left them in 2022, joining Czech side Vyskov.
Souare can play almost anywhere in midfield and is equally comfortable playing out wide when needed, which is evident in his 20 goal contributions in 69 games for Viktoria Plzen.
The 23-year-old Frenchman’s deal expires next year at the Doosan Arena and it remains to be seen whether the Bhoys will submit an offer for the versatile star in the coming days.
