Celtic and Dumbarton announce co-operation agreement

Celtic Football Club can confirm it has entered a new co-operation agreement with Scottish League Two side, Dumbarton.

The co-operation system, which was voted through by Scottish clubs last season, provides promising young players within the Celtic Youth Academy to join a lower league club, whilst also being able to move between the loan and co-operation club.

Last season saw the first of these agreements, with Kyle Ure and Jude Bonnar joining Ayr United.

This latest agreement will see Owen Hartington and Aidan Rice make the move to Dumbarton, where they will spend the coming season.

Young goalkeeper, Aidan Rice, has previously featured for the Sons in a short loan spell at the end of last season, and will be joined by midfielder, Owen Hartington.
