In terms of the entire campaign and which individual players have stood out regarding their performances, one player, in particular, that deserves praise is defender Anthony Ralston.
With 40 appearances under his belt across all competitions, Postecoglou has certainly kept the full-back busy after he made just one appearance last season.
Having played in 22 league games, the defender has delivered 11 goal contributions with four goals and seven assists, which is the joint-highest number of league assists any player in the Hoops squad has managed to provide alongside winger Jota.
From a defensive point of view, the 23-year-old has racked up the joint-highest number of tackles per game (1.6) out of players that have started more than two league games as well as the joint-highest number of blocks per game (0.4) from players to have started at least one league match in this campaign.
This shows how much of an all-around player he is for the team up and down the pitch and why they have been so strong in attack and at the back.

Taking into account his very useful attacking and defensive talents, Ralston’s overall performances have earned him a season rating of 7.52, making him the third-highest-rated player currently in Postecoglou’s squad according to WhoScored, higher than the likes of fellow defenders Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt among others.
Praised for his “magnificent” performances for the team this season as well as being called a “soldier” by Postecoglou for playing when he wasn’t 100% in terms of his fitness at times, Ralston has undoubtedly been a prominent and important figure for the Parkhead club and will be a big part of their title win if the team goes onto get their hands on the trophy by the end of the campaign based on what he’s done on the pitch.
