Celtic manager Martin O’Neill is a keen admirer of Motherwell striker Tawanda Maswanhise, according to Sky Sports.
The Hoops could look to sign a striker this summer, having not made a decision on Kelechi Iheanacho’s future.
They have yet to make a move for Maswanhise, but he is attracting interest from clubs around Europe.
Anderlecht are long-term admirers of the Zimbabwean international.
However, joining Celtic and winning the league title could appeal to Maswanhise.
The 23-year-old has proven himself in the Premiership and joining the Hoops could be beneficial to both parties.
Celtic need firepower as they look to retain the title and win the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup next term.
He could also be of use in the Champions League, but it is unclear if they plan to make a concrete approach.
The Bhoys have plans to strengthen in the middle of the park and are reportedly keeping tabs on Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis as a potential replacement for Arne Engels.
They have been running the rule over the Lithuanian international, but need to make a juicy bid to tempt the Serie A club into doing a deal.
O’Neill will hope Celtic sign quality players capable of improving his squad this summer, and signing a top striker could help their cause.
