Celtic have confirmed that Anthony Ralston has signed a new four-year deal with the club, which will keep him at Parkhead until 2027.
The 24-year-old joined the Scottish champions’ academy at the age of eight and made his debut in May 2016.
But it would not be until 2021/22 that he established himself in the first team after a series of loan spells elsewhere.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Scotland international said: “I’m absolutely delighted, and it’s a great feeling to sign with your boyhood club on a new contract.
“It never gets old, that feeling of being able to put pen to paper to secure your future where you want to be.”
Manager Brendan Rodgers also spoke of his delight at the news adding: “He loves being here, he loves being a part of the club and he loves being here and ready to contribute, and I’m very happy he’s decided to sign on.”
Ralston has gone on to make 78 appearances for the Hoops, scoring seven goals from right back.
