Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Balazs Toth has been strongly linked with a switch to the Hoops in recent days, with a fee of around £4million suggested for the Hungary international.
However, Celtic appear to be keeping their options open, with the Daily Echo reporting that the Hoops and Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb are both considering offers for Bazunu.
The 24-year-old is expected to leave Southampton this summer after spending the latter part of last season on loan at Stoke City, where injuries restricted him to just six appearances.
Bazunu came through at Shamrock Rovers before earning a move to Manchester City as a teenager. Loan spells with Rochdale and Portsmouth followed before Southampton signed him permanently in 2022.
The Republic of Ireland international has since made 92 appearances for the Saints across the Premier League and Championship, while he has also spent time on loan with Standard Liege and Stoke.
Bazunu has earned 22 senior caps for his country and would bring considerable experience despite still being only 24.
Celtic are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping department and provide genuine competition for current No.1 Viljami Sinisalo, with Ross Doohan the other senior option in O’Neill’s squad.
