Celtic have made a £6m bid to sign Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan.
The Scottish champions have submitted an opening offer for the Egypt international, who impressed during his country's 2026 World Cup campaign in North America.
Celtic's bid is an initial £6m, which could rise to £9m if add-ons are met, according toSky Sports.
The 24-year-old was part of a Real Oviedo side that were relegated from La Liga last season, where he made 37 appearances and provided three assists, without scoring.
However, Hassan impressed with his ball-carrying , before demonstrating his dribbling at the World Cup this summer.
In 2025/26, he led all La Liga wingers for successful dribbles, accurate crosses, ball-carrying frequency, and progressive actions per 90 minutes.
His potential arrival will end Celtic's search for a left-footed right-winger, which has been a priority for Martin O'Neill's side.
Hassan could become Celtic's third permanent signing of the summer window, following a deal for Colombian forward Camilo Duran from Qarabag, and the£11m club-record transfer of Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt.
The Scottish Premiership side have turned to Hassan after a £6m bid for Frosinone’s Fares Ghedjemis was rejected at the weekend.
Celtic are also interested in signing a left-sided winger before the transfer deadline, as the club aim to defend their title this season. O'Neill's side also face LASK in the Champions League play-offs later this month.
