The club has also outlined plans to revamp sections of the stadium concourse, with merchandise kiosks in several stands set to disappear as part of wider improvements to the supporter experience.

Betting outlets have long been a feature of matchdays at Celtic Park, with William Hill taking over from Ladbrokes as the club’s official in-stadium betting partner in 2022.

Following the conclusion of that agreement, however, supporters have been informed that betting facilities will not be available at the start of the new season.

In a message issued to fans, the club said: “Due to changes affecting the betting industry, William Hill took the decision in the summer not to extend their stadium betting partnership with Celtic.

“Unfortunately, this means that for the time being as the new season begins, we will not be in a position to provide betting facilities within Celtic Park, either via concourse kiosks or our hospitality facilities.”

The update also detailed changes to retail and catering arrangements around the ground, with merchandise kiosks in the East, West and North Stands being removed after an internal review.

The statement added: “Following a review of our matchday operations, we have taken the decision to remove the merchandise outlets currently located in the East, West and North Stands.

“The Celtic Superstore will continue to provide a comprehensive retail offering and meet the merchandise needs of all supporters.

“This change will enable us to make better use of these spaces and explore new ways to enhance the matchday experience.

“We are currently developing a number of alternative concepts for these areas and look forward to sharing more details in due course.

“We know that food and beverage are an important part of the matchday experience, and we have been working closely with our catering partners, Sodexo, to review and enhance the offer available across the stadium.

“Supporters will see a refreshed food and drink range in all stands, including the introduction of the new Celtic Pie; a steak and sausage pie developed exclusively for the club.

“We are also introducing new recyclable packaging as part of our commitment to improving sustainability across matchdays.

“Alongside these changes, our focus is on delivering the best service standards, product availability and the overall supporter experience.”
