Celtic secure deal for Parma midfielder Sorensen after Gineitis attempt

Multiple sources are reporting that Celtic have a deal in place with Parma to sign midfielder Oliver Sorensen on loan with an option to buy following their pursuit of Torino’s Gvidas Gineitis.
According to various reports including from Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sports, Parma have agreed to send Sorensen to Celtic on loan with an option to buy.
With less than 48 hours to go before the close of the summer transfer window, this is a deal that will move quickly and according to the reports on Monday morning, the 24-year-old will travel immediately for his medical and contract signing.

Sorensen has been with Parma for just over a year, having joined from Midtjylland on a five-year contract last summer. His transfer cost Parma a reported €8m plus up to €2m in bonuses 12 months ago.
He was an ever-present in Parma’s Serie A squad last season, available for all 38 league fixtures, and appeared in 34 of them including 19 in the starting XI.
