Celtic begin their Europa League campaign tonight as Ferencvaros visit Parkhead for the opening league-phase fixture.

Martin O’Neill’s side will be looking for an immediate response following Sunday’s disappointing 3-0 Premier Sports Cup defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

The Hoops had won their previous four domestic matches before the derby setback and will now turn their attention to Europe, where three points would provide the perfect start to their eight-game league-phase campaign.

Ferencvaros arrive in Glasgow in impressive form, having gone unbeaten across their last five matches in all competitions. They also secured their Europa League place with an impressive 5-0 aggregate victory over Trabzonspor in the play-off round.

There will also be a familiar face returning to Celtic Park, with former Hoops winger Daniel Arzani now among the Hungarian champions’ ranks.
