Celtic head to Tynecastle Park this Sunday afternoon, where Hearts will be keen to keep up their impressive title push against the visitors.
The home side leads the Scottish Premiership table with 50 points after 22 games, enjoying a six-point cushion ahead of second-placed Celtic.
Celtic have turned things around markedly since Martin O’Neill took over again on January 4, following Wilfried Nancy’s tough stint that featured six losses in eight outings.
The temporary boss has delivered a strong unbeaten streak of three triumphs and a draw—featuring 2-0 wins over Falkirk, Dundee United, and Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup, plus a gritty 2-2 draw versus Bologna in the Europa League while down to 10 men.
Celtic face challenges with several players sidelined, such as Jota, Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Callum Osmand, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Marcelo Saracchi.
Julian Araujo could slot back into the starting XI at the back alongside Auston Trusty, Liam Scales, and Kieran Tierney, while the midfield trio that held firm against Bologna looks set to stay the same.
Up top, Daizen Maeda, Sebastian Tounekti, and Yang Hyun-Jun are expected to keep their spots in the lineup.
Possible Celtic starting XI: Schmeichel; Araujo, Trusty, Scales, Tierney; Engels, McGregor; Hyun-Jun, Hatate, Tounekti; Maeda.
The match will kick off at 3pm BST on Sunday, 24th January.
