Kilmarnock and Celtic will face off at Rugby Park this Sunday in what promises to be an exciting Scottish Premiership showdown.
Celtic sit second in the table, three points behind Hearts ahead of their game in hand. The latter beat Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday to continue their impressive start to the campaign. Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side will move top of the table on goal difference with a win.
Rodgers is grappling with a defensive dilemma at right-back as Alistair Johnston is sidelined due to injury and Anthony Ralston is a big doubt.
Johnston is set to miss three months following a hamstring injury he picked up in the match against Kairat Almaty, while Ralston withdrew from Scotland’s squad after sustaining a knock during the Old Firm derby.
With the injury situation, 19-year-old Colby Donovan is anticipated to fill in at right-back, after his potential loan to Dundee was called off. Meanwhile, Auston Trusty remains out.
Left-back Kieran Tierney is also doubtful for the game after withdrawing from Scotland duty due to a minor contact injury. The defender has been carefully managed this season and has yet to play a full 90 minutes in any match.
Celtic Predicted XI: Schmeichel; Donovan, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Tierney; Engels, McGregor; Maeda, Hatate, Nygren; Balikwisha.
Sunday at 3pm BST.
Supporters in the UK will be able to catch the action live on Sky Sports Football.
