Cesc Fabregas to choose between Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig | OneFootball

Sport Bild reports that Como head coach Cesc Fabregas must choose between Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig when it comes to his next club.

Both Bundesliga clubs are looking for new head coaches after Leipzig sacked Marco Rose earlier this season and Xabi Alonso announced he would leave Leverkusen at the end of the season, last week.

Fabregas is said to be both teams’ desired candidate to sit in their dugout, but Leverkusen are seemingly leading the way. The former Spain midfielder has reportedly said that if he is to leave in the summer, he will be swapping the banks of Lake Como for the banks of the Rhine River.

Sky Germany reported that talks with Fabregas are already well advanced, and Erik ten Hag is only considered as the backup option, should Fabregas decline a move.

The only issue left is how much Fabregas could cost. Reports in Italy have differed, with some saying he can leave while others say Como will demand a fee, similar to how Leverkusen are also demanding a fee for Alonso to Real Madrid.
