It’s an open secret that Bayern want to sign a new backup attacker for the left wing position in the summer. As has now become known, one name is moving into the Munich club’s focus

FC Bayern are sounding out the transfer market and are not just thinking in superlatives. In the BILD podcast„Bayern Insider“, Christian Falk and Julian Agardi took a close look at Bazoumana Touré from TSG Hoffenheim as a potential addition to Bayern’s attack. A transfer with an announcement: perspective instead of prestige

Lothar Matthäus recently brought the name into play. Touré has been one of the most eye-catching attacking players at Hoffenheim this season, bringing pace, dynamism and a carefree attitude. But one thing is clear: if he were to move to FC Bayern, he would not be an immediate starter

From Agardi’s point of view, Touré would „definitely be a backup for Luis Díaz.“ The Colombian is set on the left, is playing a strong season and enjoys great confidence internally. Whoever comes would therefore have to get in line first

Bayern are specifically looking for a Diaz challenger

(function(){ var iframe = document.getElementById(‚footy-widget-player-large-387643-fcbinside-2025‘); if (!iframe) return; window.addEventListener(‚message‘, function(event) { if (event.source !== iframe.contentWindow) return; var data = event.data || {}; if (data.type === ‚FOOTY_WIDGET_HEIGHT‘ && typeof data.height === ’number‘) { iframe.style.height = data.height + ‚px‘; } }); })();

Touré would not be a transfer that would immediately change the hierarchy. Rather, it would be a development project. Agardi emphasizes that you have to be aware: „He still needs time for a club like FC Bayern.“ This is exactly what distinguishes this idea from previous offensive transfers by Munich

Falk confirms that the topic is on the radar, but not yet concrete: „It’s not hot yet.“ This means: observation yes, negotiations no. It is still more of a strategic consideration than an active transfer phase

Nevertheless, the basic idea behind it is understandable. FC Bayern would like to broaden its attack without breaking up the existing structure. A young player with development potential could create pressure without immediately triggering high expectations

Touré fits this bill: pace, goalscoring threat, prospects. At the same time, he would be priced well below the 50 million euro transfer category – an aspect that is not unimportant in view of the recent expensive contract extensions. His current market value is estimated at 25 million euros

It remains to be seen whether Hoffenheim will even be willing to talk to Touré. The youngster only moved to TSG from Sweden last summer for just under €10 million and is still contractually tied to the club until 2029.
