Côte d'Ivoire is a candidate to host

On February 10, the league's envoys toured several facilities in Abidjan, including its two largest stadiums: the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium and the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpé.

This fact-finding tour aims to determine the host city for the 2026 edition of the Champions Cup. At the conclusion of the visit, David Labrun, Director of International Development for the league, expressed his admiration for the quality of the venues, saying: "We were impressed; we saw professional, well-organized infrastructures that meet international standards, which clearly supports Côte d'Ivoire's bid to host the French Champions Cup next August," as posted on the Ministry of Sports' social media channels.

After its outstanding organization of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, the Elephants' nation could become the fourth African country to host the Champions Cup, scheduled for August 2026.
