After several weeks of tension following his failed transfer to Inter Milan, Lookman had been sidelined. But under new coach Ivan Juric, he reclaimed his spot in the starting eleven. He started the match and played 62 minutes of high-intensity football before making way for Kamaldeen Sulemana. Sulemana then set up Mario Pašalić for the winning goal, which came just three minutes from time.

Lookman’s return is a breath of fresh air for Atalanta, who can now count on his explosiveness and creativity for the rest of their European campaign.
