Liverpool are set to take on Inter as they need to get back to winning ways quickly in the Champions League.
The Reds are currently all the way down in 13th in the Champions League table, meaning they might be faced with the hassle of an extra fixture in a playoff to qualify for the round of 16.
That’s surely something Liverpool will want to avoid, but they’ve just not been consistent enough lately, losing to Galatasaray and PSV Eindhoven in recent European ties.
Can they do better against Inter? It’s sure to be an intriguing watch at the San Siro…

One of the biggest debates at the moment will be around the inclusion of Mohamed Salah in Arne Slot’s starting line up – should he keep his place or does he no longer deserve it?
In the recent past it would have been unthinkable for LFC to bench a player as important as Salah for a big game like this, but perhaps now Slot would genuinely be better off using a different kind of attack.
The Liverpool manager also has big decisions to make at right-back and left-back, and with Florian Wirtz, but what will he end up going for?
Liverpool predicted line-up: Alisson; Gomez, Robertson, Van Dijk, Konate; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Isak.
Inter have lost some big games recently, such as in Serie A to rivals AC Milan and in the Champions League to Atletico Madrid.
Still, they have a strong line-up on their day and will surely go all out with something like the team below for this one…
Inter predicted line-up: Sommer; Akanji, Bastoni, Acerbi; Dumfries, Dimarco, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Barella; Martinez, Thuram.

Despite being two of the biggest names in European football, Liverpool and Inter have actually only met six times before, so this will be their seventh game.
So there’s not too much history to go from, but we can say that Liverpool have won four and lost six of their contests against these opponents.
They most recently played in the Champions League in 2022, winning 2-0 at the San Siro and losing 1-0 at Anfield, progressing 2-1 on aggregate as they ended up reaching the final that season.
But who will come out on top this time? Give us your predictions in the comments!
