Yet Joshua Kimmich refuses to see this as the most complete performance his team has faced.

“You beat Chelsea and PSG but lost to Arsenal: was this the toughest opponent this season?”

Kimmich didn't hesitate in his reply:

“No, I don't think so! PSG was our most difficult opponent (...) Arsenal is completely different. They rely a lot on set pieces. Against Paris, it was more of a football match.”

This statement immediately sparked reactions in both Germany and England, with many seeing it as an unnecessary dig at Arsenal. Whether clumsy or intentional, it has fueled a heated debate.
