Championship heavyweights submit bids for Metz winger Papa Amadou Diallo

Metz winger Papa Amadou Diallo (21) has attracted interest from abroad in playing a pivotal role in Les Grenats’ Ligue 1 promotion charge. The 21-year-old Senegal international logged seven goals in four assists last season in Ligue 2. Foot Mercato understands that Diallo’s performances have not gone unnoticed in England.

The 21-year-old winger was reportedly close to joining Slavia Prague in a €5m move previously during the summer transfer window. Now, Metz have received two new bids to acquire Diallo’s services. Both came from EFL Championship sides. Foot Mercato adds that Watford FC and Norwich City FC have submitted a €5m bid to Metz, who will make their return in Ligue 1 against Strasbourg on the opening day next month.
