Chapecoense beat Corinthians 2-1 on Sunday in São Paulo, ending a 20-match away league drought and dropping the hosts from 10th to 11th in the Brasileirão.
In the second minute, Matheus Bidu put Timão ahead, finishing from the centre of the box after Gustavo Henrique recycled a set piece.
Marcinho levelled with a glancing header from Heitor's cross (40.).
Breno Bidon then thought he had restored the lead, but his strike was overturned by VAR in the first minute of first half stoppage time.
After the restart, substitute Yannick Bolasie teed up Marcinho to slam in the winner from close range (77.).
Chape's goalkeeper Anderson made five saves and preserved the points by stopping Pedro Raúl's close-range header in the third minute of second half stoppage time.
Timão had 62.1% possession and tallied 16 attempts. Chape registered seven attempts, with five on target.
Next, Timão visit Estudiantes in the Libertadores. Chape host Internacional in the Brasileirão.
