Scotland international Che Adams has now scored as many goals for Torino as his compatriot and former Granata striker Denis Law with his opener during the team’s 2-0 win over Udinese in Serie A on Wednesday night.

Adams joined Torino on a free transfer at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign following the expiry of his deal with Southampton, and has gone on to score 10 goals in all competitions since moving to Italy.

With his goal during Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Torino, Adams is now up to 10 goals in all competitions (nine in Serie A, one in the Coppa Italia), which is the same tally as Law achieved during his year-long stay in 1961-62, before going on to earn legendary status at Manchester United.

Law hit 10 goals in Italy at a slightly quicker rate than Adams: It took the former 28 games across all competitions, 32 for the latter.

Adams has exactly the same goals tally as his international colleague Scott McTominay, who is also on nine Serie A goals and one in the Coppa Italia for 2024-25.

They are both closing in on Lewis Ferguson’s overall tally of 14 goals from his time with Bologna.

Joe Jordan, meanwhile, scored 20 goals throughout his time with Milan, plus another one with Hellas Verona, but 10 of those Rossoneri strikes came while playing in Serie B in 1982-83.
