The Scotland international has been heavily linked with a return to St. Andrew's this season
Birmingham City's transfer business in recent times has certainly caught mainstream attention, as the West Midlands club seek a return to the Premier League in the near future.
Bankrolled by the investment firm of owner, Tom Wagner, in the form of Knighthead Capital Management, Blues' fortunes and trajectory have been transformed through the American's short and long-term ambitions.
Relegation down to League One for the first time in 30 years at the end of Wagner's first season in the boardroom at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park only added to the motivation which he felt regarding the club's end goal under his ownership, which is to become one of English football's most dominant sides, aligning with the fact that Birmingham should have multiple top-level sides with it being the second-largest city in the country by population.
After being relegated to the third tier in May 2024, Blues broke the League One transfer record on three separate occasions, with the last of those also shattering their own club-record spend for a stand-alone deal, as an eight-figure sum was parted with to secure the services of Jay Stansfield on a seven-year contract from Premier League side, Fulham.
Once the first tick in Wagner's long list of ambitions was recorded in record-breaking fashion at the end of last term as Chris Davies' side amassed 111 points in 46 league games, Birmingham invested heavily in a second raft of new signings last summer, although a deal worth up to £10m for 23-time Japanese international, Kyogo Furuhashi, is still yet to work out.
After an inconsistent first half of the season, Blues enjoyed an extremely active winter window in terms of both incomings and outgoings, as they look to secure a play-off place in the Championship straight away.
As well as the club's eye-catching ambition being a continued theme, so were links to former favourite, Che Adams, who continues to ply his trade with Torino of Serie A, who he joined on a free transfer in the summer of 2024 after exiting Southampton following their promotion to the top-flight under Russell Martin.
As such, Football League World have looked at the Scotland international forward's ESTIMATED wage packet in Turin, as well as debating whether he will ever return to the Second City amid continued speculation.

As previously mentioned, Adams has been on the books of the Italian side for just over 18 months, having moved to mainland Europe for the first time in his career ahead of the 2024/25 season.
As a result, the aforementioned Saints made a loss on his services, despite the fact he scored 48 times and provided a further 21 assists in 198 appearances for the South Coast side after they struck a reported £15m deal with Birmingham back in the summer of 2019.
Since then, the 45-time Tartan Army international has endured mixed fortunes since his arrival at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, scoring 10 times in 38 appearances across all competitions in his first season for the club last term, whilst he hasn't quite been able to live up to the same standards so far this campaign, albeit there is still plenty of time left for Adams to match or better said tally.
According to Capology, the Leicester-born striker, who cost Birmingham an initial £2m from Sheffield United in August 2016 under the management of Gary Rowett, now earns an ESTIMATED base salary of €64,038 per week, which is approximately £55,694.
The same website claims, as a result, that the 29-year-old is Torino's second-highest earner behind Colombian forward, Duvan Zapata, who is said to earn €96,154 per week.

Throughout both transfer windows this season, there has been intense speculation of a potential return to B9 for Adams, who is still a popular figure amongst Bluenoses for his record of 38 goals in 123 appearances and a strong partnership which was formed with cult hero, Lukas Jutkiewicz, in a testing time for the club.
Football League World exclusively revealed in August that Blues' interest in his services was incredibly strong, and that an enquiry to his representatives over a deal was lodged, before it became apparent that, whilst staff at St. Andrew's pushed for a reunion, they swiftly moved their focus to the £1.75m signing of Marvin Ducksch from Werder Bremen.
With Lyndon Dykes moving to Charlton Athletic last month, such speculation only resurfaced, before Blues splashed £6m out on the signing of Danish youth international and last season's Swedish Allsvenskan top scorer, August Priske.
As a result, it feels as though the opportunity for Adams and Blues to reunite has passed, particularly with Priske signing a contract until the summer of 2031.
