Chelsea among clubs interested in Olivia Smith

Liverpool forward Olivia Smith has reportedly attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in women's football.

The Canadian joined the Merseyside outfit last summer after a successful season at Sporting CP. Since joining the Reds, Smith has featured in 21 games and has scored eight goals for the club.

Still only 20 years old, Smith's performances have turned the heads of some of Europe's biggest clubs according to journalist Rob Pratley.

Chelsea are one of the clubs who have been linked to the player as well as one other unnamed WSL side. Champions League stalwarts Lyon are also said to be keen as are various NWSL sides.

A deal for a young talent like Smith will be difficult though. Liverpool reportedly paid £210,000 for the player last summer so a much higher fee will be expected to pry her away from the club.
