According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Chelsea remain in talks to sign Jérémy Jacquet (20) from Rennes. However, the Ligue 1 are resolute in their stance that the defender is unavailable in the winter transfer window and that any agreement would have to be for the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich were also interested in signing the 20-year-old, but now appear to have exited the race for the Frenchman’s signature. That leaves Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for his signature, with both clubs still in dialogue with Les Rouges et Noirs and the player’s entourage over a potential transfer.
