In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Chelsea are planning to move in for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer. It has been claimed that the Blues are showing interest in bringing the France international to Stamford Bridge this off-season.

Tchouameni’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Tchouameni enjoyed a solid campaign at the Madrid club recently as he was responsible for putting in a series of influential displays for them at the centre of the park. The 26-year-old registered two goals and earned two assists in 49 matches for Los Blancos last season across multiple competitions.

The French talent is currently one of the best central midfielders in European football. Hence, the Blues would do well to lure him to Stamford Bridge later this year.

His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Chelsea to snap Tchouameni up on the cheap this off-season.

Will Tchouameni Be A Dream Signing For Chelsea?

Tchouameni is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team in the middle of the park. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a tidy passer as well.

The French sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. Tchouameni is primarily a holding midfielder but can also operate as a centre-back or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so by his manager. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to snap him up later this year.

Tchouameni would bring more bite and steel to Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the West London club in the coming seasons.

At 26, Tchouameni has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent signing for the Blues to consider in this transfer period. However, Alonso has to give him some time to adjust to life at Stamford Bridge before he can get the best out of the player.
