In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Chelsea are preparing to move in for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. It has been mentioned that the Blues are ready to launch a move to sign the English talent if they lose Enzo Fernandez in this transfer window.

Scott’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Scott enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in the previous campaign after he put in a string of influential performances at the heart of their midfield. The 23-year-old scored four times and earned one assist in 39 matches for Bournemouth last season on all fronts.

The English talent is currently one of the most talented central midfielders in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Blues are eyeing a late move for him in this transfer period.

Scott is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to land him on the cheap this month.

What Will Scott Bring To Chelsea?

Scott loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to earn the ball back for his side in the middle of the park. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and has the vision to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third.

The English sensation is full of energy and running, and can also chip in by scoring a few important goals for his team from midfield. Scott mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea.

Scott would bring more quality and depth to Xabi Alonso’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.

At 23, Scott has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Blues to consider in this transfer period. Therefore, Alonso should focus on stepping up their efforts to land him before the end of this month.
